Video: Muybridge - a visual illustration of music

A short video clip composed using associative linking between human movements and musical elements.
Edward Muybridge - researcher and photographer who lived in the late 19th century, has developed a special technique for the Study of human movement. He photographed people and athletes perform various actions, using several cameras, activated one after the other. Projecting the pictures one after another creates an illusion of movement. Those short sequences of movements have been synchronized accurately by musical elements.
The work was represented on a Film Festival ContainR - one of the events in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.
Visual materials: Muybridge sequences of images from his books
Music: variation no. 20 of "Goldberg Variations" by JS Bach, performed by Glenn Gould.
